Surplus brass not being sold anymore???

I just heard today,that surplus brass will not be sold anymore. I thought that this was already resolved...it was not going to be destroyed...but sold as always. Has the sale of sale brass been stopped??

Resolved. Businesses that buy brass as scrap must scrap it. Loophole/lack of enforcement which some used to sell surplus *scrap* as fabricated goods (as brass) has been closed.

Those who have been and continue to buy surplus brass as brass can still sell it.

Based on one purported e-mail circulated from one supplier, I suspect an intentional scare to drive up prices based on a non-event. Those participating in the system could not reasonably misunderstand the .gov's actions THAT much.
