SwampAss Optics Non-paid Review

Swamp Fox also doesn't make any optics. They just sell them.
Thats actually a very surprisingly high number of scope companies.

I can only think of 3 that make a scope at their own facility. Leupold, Burris, and Vortex. I may be missing some, but thats a very long list of scope companies who don't make a scope.

Who cares if they make it or buy it from one of the top optical manufactures in the world.

Tangent Makes their own Optics
S&B makes their own Optics
ZCO Makes their own Optics
Kahles Makes their own Optics
Minox Makes their own Optics
March makes their own Optics (let me know what else DEON makes)
Leica makes their own optics as far as I know
Leupold makes some of their own optics
Sig makes some of their own optics
Burris makes some of their optics
Steiner has Burris make some of their optics or at least shares facilities which is the same thing.

Many more like Bushnell, Nightforce, Vortex ect source most of their stuff overseas but all have domestic repair facilities that will fix or replace if something is broken.

That is more important than having to ship your scope to Europe for who knows how many months.

I will take a LOW sourced optic from a reputable US company before some turd like a USO or other quasi made in the US of questionable quality.

Making their own optics is pretty low on the importance chart.

I keep hearing people sing the praise of swampAss optics. Well WTF?

For all you swampass optic fan bois out there. 😂🤣

as said by another user, check the tolerances on your pic rail, you may be surprised. I had a similar issue with some vortex rings on a thompson/center compass II, and the rails on it were out of spec. considering T/C is a subsidy of S&W you'd think they wouldn't make such a big flaw, but they sure did. ended up replacing both rail sections with an EGW top rail and the rings worked flawlessly.

Swampfox makes *decent* optics for the prices, often with features you don't get unless you move up a price category or two, and in my personal experience have very good customer service. reach out to them and they'll make it right if it really is a mount problem

I've seen stranger shit. like an FN SCAR that had to be rethreaded as the original factory threads were so far off concentric a suppressor would have had baffle strikes.

Just because it's a big name company, doesn't mean they're incapable of having quality escapes. I work in aerospace QC and you'd be surprised at what can go wrong at even the biggest names. As the saying goes, shit happens.

I've certainly seen just as much garbage out of sig as you seem to have seen out of swampfox.

Aerospace QC 😂🤣😂🤣😂

I’m not a 10yo bright eyed kid impressed you carry a clipboard, and double check grown ups work.

Obviously you have a story for everything so I’ll just ignore you

I was just sharing what I thought was a funny video.

whatever you like, just relating my own experiences. I'm not saying swampfox can't make a mistake either, its entirely possible they can. the point is that no company is infallible as you seem to want to believe.

I've seen entire production batches of parts binned (each worth more than a KAC SR15 by themselves) because something didn't get caught even through full source inspection, after going through the hands of 5+ people.
