I have that BT turret on an AV 6X18 on a 223. It works perfectly for shots to 400 yards. 500 yards would be no problem but I limit my ground hog shots with a 223 to below 400 yards.
I like the turret. It is simple and short, and my AV's track perfectly.
No it does not have windage, but for my uses out to 400 yards I rarley correct for windage with a turret. Even with my 22-250 I don't use the turret for windage until I get to the 500 yard range.
As long as you are not looking for an ultra-long range optic the turret works great. Tom.

the ballistic turret is the easiest various distance shooting system on the market right now. as bnix said, they do need some kind of contingency for windage, but other than that i really like the system. Chris uses it on 3 rifles, i'm about to mount a 2.5-15 bt on a 30.06 of mine. i recommend the system, i've had nothing but good feed back on it.
