Swarovski BTX Bino Attachment

Had a chance to spend a week with the Swarovski BTX Binocular spotter attachment and what a difference having both eyes on the target.

I am huge fan of the STR 80 with Reticle, but these were nice



They even have multipliers as the unit is a 30x as shown, but you can insert a 1.5x modular attachment

I have a similar attachment for my Astrophysics refractor...it makes an incredible difference. Hopefully this is cheaper : -)

I really want one of these for my 85. Using my 10x40 meopta on a tripod was a true game changer. Can't imagine what this will do for glassing game.

My BTX arrived a few days ago (A BIG Thanks to Jason @ Euro)
Absolutley a game changer for me, peering into deep canyons at long range - I needed more than my 15x56's...as great as they are...I really need 30X.
Wonderful clarity, relaxed view with the 85MM objective and both eyes, great for my hunting ventures and spotting steel hits and dirt splash.

I just received mine, does it bother anyone else that it's a fixed 30 power with the 85mm Objective lens? I love it, but wished it had a variable magnification like the single eye piece. I will be pissed if they release a variable magnification at SHOT this year!

as far as fixed 30X is concerned, I find it to be the perfect balance for FOV, mirage and magnification, I may buy the mag extender to get a closer look at some critters but so far I am extremely pleased. Because of spending so much time behind that glass this year I have seen animals that I would have never been able to observe. A mountain lion, hunting down a slope, wolves, tons of deer, elk, antelope, sheep, moose, bears, raptors - hunters...

BTW, they designed it around the 85mm as being the perfect objective for the BTX half.

I have been spotting elk on the mountain South of my place from my garage 10-18 miles away in the evening and early morning. If the light is right I am able to tell if it is a mature bull. I can clearly see the dark mane, horns and buff rear @ 10 miles.

This picture is 14 miles out at 30X. Not nearly as clear as my view, just a hasty snap with my IPhone for reference of the elk location.

Damn you Lowlight; Now I want these too. It would have a lot better for me (and others too) if you had said they were "crap". My wife is not going to be happy with you!
