SWAT member bought my rifle

A couple of months ago I brought a Remmy 700P to a local gun store to sell on consignment for me. I couldn't afford optics for it at the time and it was just sitting in my safe unfired.

My father frequents that gun shop and tonight he calls me and says "Guess who bought your rifle?". He said that a local SWAT team (PA state police he thinks) sharpshooter bought the rifle.

I'm hoping I can find out what department they belong to. I have a bunch of extra stuff like a rail and some rings I'll give them for free.

Sorry if I sound corny, but that's pretty awesome to know that a gun I once owned may one day be used to safe the life of someone else!

Reminds me of when i was 10 and my Red Ryder BB gun stopped a pack of wild wolves from attacking the neighbors daughter !

Not only is it cool that you old rifle has gone "active", the fact that it was a used gun purchased over the counter, means the cop probably laid down his own cash for it.

Cool story. The PA State Police sharpshooters are one of the most active in the country in regards to callouts and firing engagements.
