Rifle Scopes SWFA 2.5-10x, 3-9x for now?

I've been searching for an optic to mount on my SCAR 17. I need something in the 2.5-10x range, think Nightforce Compact but FFP. I know Vortex offers one one in SFP too, but I'm a fan of the SWFA line-up. I want SWFA to build one with HD glass, mil quad reticle, single screw turrets, option for illumination, and no bigger objective than 44mm.

Since they don't currentt offer such a thing I'm considering their 3-9x.

Alot of folks over on fnforums like the Nightforce 2.5-10x Compacts. I'd like to stick with FFP though and started considering the SWFA 3-9x as a more "wallet friendly" option.

I have a weaver tactical 2-10x36 and I really like it. The clicks are spot on, FFP, glass is much better than the price point would suggest. However there is no zero stop, but the turrets lock. There is no side focus, which I thought I wouldn't like, but I actually like that feature for certain practical purposes. You could also look at the Vortex 2.5-10x32

The Weaver has 40 mils of elevation travel as well as glass that usually rates better than SS or Vortex PSTs, but I have never done a side by side. It weighs 25 ozs though.

I ended up working a trade for a SWFA SS 3-9x. I'm excited to get it mounted up on the SCAR and see what that combo is capable of.
