Rifle Scopes SWFA or Larue Mount for ss1x4?

Re: SWFA or Larue Mount for ss1x4?

Depends...Are you planning on mounting it and leaving it, or are you planning to mount and remove it often?
I would check out the American Defense mounts also.

Personally, I like to hard mount my scopes with standard rings. But I use mounts with quick detach levers for red dots.

I'm using the SWFA/Bobro mount with a SS 5-20 and it holds .25 moa repeatability if you keep the mounting surfaces clean. I remove my scope often to use it for spotting and never had any rtz problems.

Re: SWFA or Larue Mount for ss1x4?

Since you prefer a QD mount, SWFA/Bobro all the way. I own both Larue and Bobro mounts and the Bobro is superior, to me. No little wrench necessary for fine tuning the mount for different rails and maintains zero no matter how many times you remove and replace it. YMMV

Another thing to consider is that the Bobro mount's base can be swapped to the other side so the locking mechansim doesn't interfere with weapons with charging handles on the left side such as the SCAR. (yes the SCAR handle can be changed to the right if you want).

I've got my 1-4 SS in the Bobro and it seems like a great, solid mount. Larue gets a ton of positive feedback so I doubt you would go too wrong with either. If their mounts are anything like their uppers (i've got a stealth 16), they are top notch.
