Rifle Scopes SWFA SS 5-20 turret revolution question

I just set up my first precision rifle and have a question (which may be a dumb one). I sighted in my rifle and where it is sighted in at, I lost a whole revolution of adjustment (10 of 30 mils). Is there a way to to start the revolutions where I am sighted in at or do I have to lose the 10 mils of revolution? Thanks in advance to anyone who responds...

when you have 30 mils total elevation on a scope with a 0 MOA base it will give you approximately 15 up from zero and 15 down.

so there is no way of having 30 mils up and no mils down?

Get a base that adds in more cant... then you can have zero and 30,

I would guess a 30MOA canted base would get you pretty close to what you are looking for.

If you have 10mils DOWN, that means you have 20mils UP, which is enough to get you to 1300yds with a .308Win.

Also, if you try and get all 30mils UP that means you will have little to no windage adjustment and you will be shooting beyond a 1000yds before you are getting close to the optical center of the scope.
