That leaves pellet guns and guns that sound like pellet guns.
So a Rem 510 scoped and sighted in for a particular tree, shooting CB shorts or CB longs, sounds like a pellet gun, but kills crows with body shots. This is still very loud if it hits plywood, but quiet if it hits a soft crow.
Most of the 510 series did not come drilled and tapped for scope or with 3/8" dovetail mounts.
I drill and tap with 6-48 threads for Weaver mounts.
The books will say #42 Weaver on the barrel and #43 Weaver on the receiver, but I like to put two #43 Weavers on the receiver.
Pellet guns, that sound like pellet guns, will not kill crows unless they are hit in the neck or the head.
Some $1,000 "crow magnum" pellet gun at 1,000 fps may kill crows with body shots, but make noise like a 22LR.</div></div>

not sure the legality in your neck of the woods, but subsonic and suppressed can do amazing things in a .22! definitely should check into it. .22 suppressors can be had for pretty cheap too
