An unnecessary comment c_bass. Don't talk shit about our pricing until you've actually spoke to us and understand what dictates our prices. I know you value your own opinion, A LOT, but until you have actually dealt with the manufacturing end of the ghillie biz, I'd suggest not taking shots at those that have the experience and get the bigger picture.
The reason for our higher prices is the cost of quality US materials and top notch sewing labor, plus additional payroll, building rent/utilities, t & e, promotions and research for future products.
Not to mention, using the patented method for attaching paracord is not cheap to do. This is the biggest part of our garment cost. The paracord grid applied, must be bar tacked/sewn down at each crosspoint; this is not an easy or quick task, but we know that the end result will be a much stronger attachment base and a longer lasting product. Tactical Concealment's paracord grid base is superior to a netting base in both durability and strength and to us, the extra cost is worth it.
For those that feel the prices are too high, check out the wide grid and ultra-lite models. The wide-grid models use a wider paracord grid which requires much less labor, therefore cutting the cost of the garment signifigantly. The ultra-lites are for the purists and only have foliage bands sewn on. Both model types have the same level of quality and materials at a more affordable price.
If anyone else has concerns about Tactical Concealment's pricing, feel free to contact me and I'll be glad to help get you into a ghillie base that will meet your budget needs.
