Hey <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">COTTON_00</span></span> -

You said that's three (3) shots - is that two shots on the left, with the sighter on the right? I ask because the impact point on the right looks like a single shot knocked-off several layers of paint, making the single shot impact appear larger than it really is. Therefore <span style="font-style: italic">(if I surmise correctly)</span>, the other two shots are on the left. Looking very closely, I think I see two new impacts side-by-side. Is that right? That's awesome shooting!

Re: tac ops x-ray 1060 yards

The Tac Ops rifles are lasers,

I may have to take my shorty Tac Ops to beyond 1000, I have a 1200 yard target set up right now, I may need to visit with it.

Mike does a nice job on the for sure, from fit & finish to accuracy.

Re: tac ops x-ray 1060 yards

Tyler u are correct the first shot went just right off target the second two shots are the big spot and third just left.the targets have so many layers of paint sometimes it comes off in big chunks.hope to have the vidieos up soon.

They are worth the wait. Sigh... but it seems like a long time.

Re: tac ops x-ray 1060 yards

If my math is correct that's right around .25 moa at 1063 yards. That's outstanding shooting. I'd be thrilled if I did that at 100 yards. The X-Ray is my favorite Tac Ops rifle. That would be my choice for sure.

Re: tac ops x-ray 1060 yards

Great shooting! I am currently waiting for an X-Ray 51 build from Mike, but I'm still a few months out yet before I can even begin to think about it. Can't wait until I get mine!

Gorgeous rifle, thanks for sharing!

Do you have a scope for it? I highly recommend one of these...

Also, as <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Cotton_00</span></span> said, while the wait time sucks once you get the rifle and shoot it you'll be happy you ordered from Mike. A friend of mine just picked-up his <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Lefty X-Ray 51</span></span>. After we zeroed his his X-Ray and he'd punished the steel at distance for a while I stopped him and asked <span style="font-style: italic">"Well, was it worth the wait?"</span> He just smiled and replied <span style="font-style: italic">"Of course!"</span>

You guys are busting me up...I need to stop logging on to this cite! Everyday, I find something on here that I probably could have lived without, but find it necessary to buy once I see these picture threads...I think I have a problem

Good shooting

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: 123Nick</div><div class="ubbcode-body">What is the current wait on Tac Ops rifles? </div></div>
Historically, the wait for Tac Ops rifles has averaged about a year, but because most of Tac Ops business is Law Enforcement agencies and Military/Spec Ops Teams (more than 650 agencies and/or Teams worldwide), and those weapons take precedence over civilian sales there's always the possibilty that civilian orders can be pushed back. On the other hand, on occassion I've seen civilian rifles ready-to-ship in 9 months.

Negative don't have a scope yet. I'm looking at the PMII 5-25 or 3-20 with the MSR reticle. Probably not going to purchase anything until I'm closer to the date of receiving my rifle. Thanks for the heads up though, I'm definitely interested in that USO ARD! Know where a fellow could find one?

Re: tac ops x-ray 1060 yards

Nice looking rifle and some fine shooting skilz there cotton.
Yep, I need to stop by your place and try that rifle out someday (soon), and you can show me how that long range dialing works..( I have a feeling you could be a very bad, BAD influence..lol )
Then you need to come up here and I`ll show you some reloading basics.

Re: tac ops x-ray 1060 yards

Good shooting <span style="font-weight: bold">Cotton</span> but I think there may be an issue with your X-Ray 51. The group should be a little tighter at that distance. I will do a call tag with Fed Ex. and have your rifle picked up ASAP, I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Please confirm your using Fed Match ammo…

That's some awesome shooting, Cotton! I too have shot groups in the .25 MOA range at 1000+ yards with my Tac-Ops. They are well worth the wait for sure. Can't wait until my other Lima and Xray are finished.

Unfortunately, USO hasn't made a "run" of the PMII ARDs' for at least two years. USO's direct price has consistently been $90.00 + shipping (and any applicable Tax).

There's a thread in the <span style="font-style: italic">"Group Buy"</span> section see <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"USO S&B and PH ARD"</span></span> where Hide Members are rallying support for USO to make another run of their S & B and Premier Heritage ARDs'. <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Halcyon612</span></span> started the thread in favor of the S & B 56mm (different thread from the Premier 56mm), but support has grown to include the S & B 56mm, S & B 50mm, S & B 42mm, PH 56mm, and PH 50mm. People need to realize that making ARDs' for non-USO scopes isn't their bread & butter, and Dave from USO has publicly stated that while he'll see what USO can do, finishing scopes is USO's first priority. I agree - USO has to concentrate on their scopes.

If I were you I'd post your commitment to buying however many USO ARDs' you want in <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Halcyon612</span></span>'s <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"USO S&B and PH ARD"</span></span> thread, and hope for the best. USO S & B 56mm ARDs' and USO PH 56mm ARDs' have come up for private sale, <span style="font-style: italic">but very infrequently.</span> Just like anything else that is desireable and rare, they sell very quickly.

I apologize to <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Cotton</span></span> for going off-topic, but I figured that clarification on the availability of USO S & B ARDs' would be of interest and benefit to others as well. Now back-on-topic...

Re: tac ops x-ray 1060 yards/video

Cool video <span style="font-style: italic">Cotton</span>. And again, awesome shooting. Must be nice to have enough land to be able to shoot on it legally. I usually don't take photos at the range, and my range doesn't allow people to walk out past the 300 yard line. As a result I don't have any photos anywhere close to 1,000+ yards. I'm a bit rusty, but as an example of what my X-Ray 51 and I can do with SW 175s', below are some photos from last Sunday's <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">West End Gun Club "Gruning" Match</span></span>. The match is shot from 501 meters. The first photo is a crappy cell phone pic of my MR-1FC F-Class target after my first 15-shot string for score. I fired three (3) sighters (1st is at 12:00 in the 9-Ring, 2nd is at 10-Ring's border at 2:00, and the 3rd is at the 2nd's 6:30 in the middle of the 10-Ring).

Below is one of my spotter disc spindles recovered by my "puller". The spindle is also shown next to a 175 SMK for scale. These matches are casually run and aren't registered. <span style="font-style: italic">"F/TR"</span> calibers (.223 and .308 only) and "<span style="font-style: italic">"Open Class"</span> (6.5x47L, .260, .243, ect) are shot in the same class.
