Tactical rifle match 02-26-12 North County San Diego, CA.

Any scoped bolt action or semi-auto rifle. Caliber from .223 up to and including .338.
Distances will vary from one fifty to eight hundred eighty five yards, paper and steel targets, varying shooting positions and possibly locations. Sixty rounds maximum for the match.

There will be a short sight in period prior to the match and the range will be open until about 4:30 after the match.

We might have combo pistol/rifle stage, so bring a pistol and around 30 rounds of pistol ammo.

It's on their website, I forgot how much it is. Non members pay a little more and you can shoot as a non member twice. I wanna say its $25 but don't quote me on that.

Hmm. I think I might come. Bargaining with the wife to take her to San Diego zoo on Saturday to get to shoot it. We will see.

It's also fairly close to the wild animal park and two day passes are available for both the zoo a d wild animal park. And then there's Sea World...

This was one hell of a match! Very low key with excellent shooters and some challenging shots. I particularly liked the pistol stage fighting towards our rifles. The match directors put the match together on the fly and made it very interesting. I'm looking forward to the long range match next month and the tactical one the month after that. Thanks again to the organizers for putting together a fun and challenging match.

bummed I didn't see this until tonight. I have been looking for an event like this to attend locally. I'll try for next month.

Next month is the long range match, I've never shot it but from what I gather it will all be from the prone from 100-887 yards. It's a good group to shoot with, very welcoming to new shooters.

Im interested in competing in the long range match on 03/25/12 (pending my rifle is put together by then) I am also interested in the tactical match on 04/22/12. I had written an email requesting info( [email protected] hope it was received). I have a question about registration, do I just show up on the day of the event and pay registration in person or is there another way to sign up for these competitions? From the photos on the website the range looks very nice, Is shooting as a guest prior to a competition a possibility?

Show up and pay in person. I don't think non members can shoot at the range in the days prior to the match, but my understanding is about a half hour or so right before the match, you'll be able to shoot. Look forward to seeing you out there.

I shot the match on the 25th for the first time and will also be there on the 22nd next month. Great group of guys out there and a VERY nice range. I definitely recommend going!
