The Tactical Analysis Group will be holding a Law Enforcement Sniper Class at the Big Piney Sportsman's Club in South Central Missouri starting 20 October and ending on 24 October 2010.
This class is Missouri POST approved for 40 Hours of continuing law enforcement training, and catches all of Missouri's required training hours for the 3 year training cycle except racial profiling.
Our instructors are about as good as they come. Both were military snipers back in the day, then later LE marksman observers. Our primary instructor has been to numerous Sniper Instructor classes, and has about as good a set of credentials as anyone in the business. He has also had a book published on law enforcement sniping.
Most of the ammunition expended in this class will be at short range (Out to 200 yards). However on the last day of the class you will engage targets out to 700 yards. This class covers much more than shooting. You will learn about field operations, and communications. You will build an urban hide, and do observation from it. You will learn what to expect after the shot, and how to deal with it from someone with first hand experiance in shots fired Law Enforcement engagements.
