New item featured in SHOT Show 2019, this new entry from Mossberg is already making conversation all over the firearms world:

For a company known by most people for it's rugged, budget priced and extremely effective shotguns, this marks the first time in over 100 years that Mossberg has manufactured a handgun.

And for those who are looking for budget priced shooters that STILL pack a hefty punch and small enough to be carried comfortably, the MC1SC is currently priced in the $310-$350 range.

    TECHNICAL SPECS:
    Mechanism: Striker-fired / crossbolt safety / 5lb let-off trigger
    Weight: 19 ounces empty
    Length: 6.25"
    Caliber: 9mm Luger
    Capacity: 6+1 standard / 7+1 extended.
Magazines are constructed from translucent polymer. Single-stack configuration.
    No accessory rail.
The MC1SC also features a unique "no trigger" takedown system. All you have to do to conduct field maintenance is 1. Pull out the firing pin. 2. Release slide lock lever. To put it all back together, just reverse the steps.

This is a hot item on the personal defense market that is going to be watched very closely in the coming weeks and months. Kudos to Mossberg for making available yet another well-built option in the line of compact handguns and making the Right to Keep and Bear Arms affordable for all law abiding citizens (y)

while im glad to see more companies branching back into handguns.......ive gotta ask.....why?

the market is already flooded with cheap, subcompact 9mm......so why would i buy a handgun from a company that has no history of making handguns when i can buy a SW or a Glock for around the same price?

hell look how that worked out for Remington....

this gun isnt even doing anything new.......its a half assed attempt in a diluted market

what Mossberg SHOULD be doing is building off their Shockwave line.......a "shockwave" double barrel shotgun and single shot shotgun would be VERY popular

Mossberg actually did make a 4 shot pepperbox type pistol way back when. Everyone went on the striker fired bandwagon after when? HK made a squeeze cocker striker fired pistol before Glock? Then once Glock became established in the LEO world, it became a lawsuit deal with Glock and the Smith Sigma semi-copy. "Terrorism"? way off topic from the OP and no comment.
