So I have decent 22 put togeather my wife uses for NRA certs .

Ruger 10/22 houg stock E R Shaw barrel a slick trigger job.
    The scope is crap!

The NRA disiplin starts at 16.6 yards.
I need a scope with parallax to be clear at that short distance.

I'm concered with 16.6 to 100 yards mostly shooting standard velocity / subs through a can (sparrow ).

I found Bushnell 3x12 exposed turrets, side parallax etc.

    Can't find reliable reviews
    Price point is ?120$
Like to spend more but have more expensive builds in work and thought this was viable.

    Advice would be apreciated.
Looked and searched the sh forums nada.

Looked at the athelon scopes, nice but to get the features i wanted started to get pricey for my needs.
My wife has been shooting ARs with buis and eoteck optics, very competent with that.
Last year she started shooting 50 yd 22lr with a gun i had traded for and not shot .

She did aceptable in her competition so i didn't think much about it.
This season competitions changed 16.6 yds to 50yds and possibly 100.
The scope was a set and forget plinker, i had no idea how bad it really was till i took it to the range.

I have settled for a Bushnell 3x9 with full features and side parallax to 7yds, exposed target style turrets.
I intend it to be a trainer till her competitions escalate and i have to sell a kidney. Lol

This Bushnell was on sale for 108$ , I know it won't satisfy HIDE standards, it's a stopgap.

Let you know soon as she rings it out.

"I know it won't satisfy HIDE standards"

You and I are in good company. If it works, who cares. I've played the game before and have some nice equipment, but really as long as it works and is appropriate for the task at hand then rock on brother! Let me know how it works for ya, Id like to know for something from 15-125 yards. =)

I've got 3 Nikon Prostaff EFR 3-9x40 AO on a few of my rimfires. They run about $189.00, two of them I got cheaper one I paid full $ all from Optics Planet.

This definitely won't satisfy the Hide standards but I have been running a Cabella's covenant 4-16x and have pleasantly surprised at how good of a scope it is. It can't be beat at their prices.

    The Good;
    Side focus to 25 yards,
    has a very nice reticle,
    has exposed knobs (MOA only)
    tracks well
    returns to zero
the glass is good enough that I can see .22lr holes in paper at 200 yards
You can get FFP or SFP
there is also a 5-20x version
    Lifetime warranty
    $199-$299

    The not so good:
    MOA only
    No zero stop
Exposed knobs require 1.5 turns to get to 200 (23.5 MOA)
    It's not a Schmidt & Bender

So i got to partially ring out the Bushnell 3 x 9 223 tactical scope.

Tracking and parallax 16 to 50 yards was good.
I like the low wide turrets easy to see.
    Returned to zero.
I will probably replace another scope with one of these.

Had to go to high mount rings to clear , put me at 2" center of bore.
The reticle is thicker than some people like, suits my eyes.
Not true moa, it's inch per 100, also not a problem my ballistic calculator has that seting.
The .25 clicks may not be enough for some shooters.
Setting the zero lock was tough, try it at home before going to range.

All in all I belive a well spent 100$ bill.

Cherry picked example of first range session, started to get bounced by big bore next to me, will continue 50-100yd soon.

I think you have made a mistake, should have shown the rest of your beautiful rig.
Got to love a laminate stock!

Just checked out the mueller scope , nice good price point, 259$ op planet.
Anyone planning on getting past the 100yd short range stuff should look at that.
It appears to have everything a target scope needs for elr rimfire.

Haven't looked at thier scopes for eons, my mistake!
