I am an avid stream fisherman where I fish from a Kayak or just wading. On more than one trip, i have had encounters with pissed of cottonmouth's. I have ruined a new pole killing one as well as using an paddle/oar. When I am teaching my young children to fish, I have my Benelli M1 S90 slung over my shoulder, I have not had to use it yet. It gets tiring wagging that thing around and would be unhandy in my kayak. I am wanting to purchase a judge in stainless to have as my river gun. I am wanting to know if anyone else uses a judge for this purpose and what brand/kind of holster you all use. Thanks in advance.

There are a ton of Companies that make awesome ammo for the Judges so it would more than serve your purpose. Whinthrop holsters in Lakewood Ohio will custom make you a holster for whatever you have.

Here's a couple of pictures of my Simply Rugged holster with my 4" stainless Judge. A chesty puller rig would make this perfect, since it wants to pull my trou down sometimes.

Just a note of correction if anyone is interested. The above holster, which is a "Texas pancake" will not work with a Chesty Puller shoulder rig. The shoulder rig takes a holster with 3 loops in order to get the proper angle. This is according to the owner at Simply Rugged, Who is very nice and helpful
