Taurus TX22 Competition

Anyone have any trigger time on the Taurus TX22 Competition? I have a Vudoo and want to add a 22 pistol to have some fun with when out practicing or before and after matches. Most of the reviews I have seen have actually been pretty good. But the guns were also sent to the reviewers by Taurus so who knows how biased they might be.

I have the standard model, and it's been a great pistol. Just as accurate as any of Ruger Mk IV's, but 2x the ammo capacity if you get some of the Tandemkross +5 mag extensions.

I added a red dot using a mounting plate that replaces the rear sight...the Competition models weren't a thing when I added it.

Runs perfectly running Federal Auto Match, and it runs suppressed well...but it doesn't particularly like CCI Quiet ammo (and I didn't expect it to).

Taurus is selling the upper competition slide separately, and as soon as the come back in stock I'll be picking one up. Or if I can find the full gun, I'll just sell my pistol and get the Competition model.

Finally picked up one a TX22 Competition today. Can’t wait to take it out. Still trying to figure out what red dot to put on it. Thinking about the Vortex Venom or Crimson Trace 1250. Also looking at some of the Tandem Kross parts.

Anyone else running this pistol?

I have one and absolutely love it. I have put about 2k rounds through it so far, mostly Federal bulk pack and Federal Auto Match. Other than a few lower powered bulk pack rounds it has been flawless. I put a Halosun 507 on mine and I dont think I will ever get anything else for it. I love the circle reticle.
I dont personally have the TandemKross trigger in mine, but two of my friends have. It is a nice upgrade. We have played around tuning it quite a bit and once you get it dialed in it is feels great We have never put a scale on it, but I will say it does not drop much off of the pull weight, but it is nice and crisp compared to the factory trigger.

I see buckeye in your user name are you in Ohio? If so have you shot any rimfire pistol matches in the state?

I grew up in Ohio but moved awhile back, i just never changed my username. There was not much in the way of dedicated rimfire matches around me, but I would occasionally shoot a Steel Challenge match that was held a little west of Mansfield, i do not remember the name of the club though.
