Absolutely beautiful rig (except for the Atlas). They really do make one fine rifle. I was ready to throw the cash down on that very rifle, but when I asked around about TBA I just heard too many bad things. Heard plenty of good too, but for me the bad outweighed the good. Glad you got yours. Now that I see gap is offering M40 production rifles, I will be going with a GAP in the near future. Until then I will be in envy of yours. :-D

I much prefer the Atlas to the Harris. I had to mount a rail to the underside, and this is the quick release Atlas version. The adjustment of positions for non flat surfaces is so much better (legs tilt and extend independent of each other and bipod rotates). If one wants even a lower position (which I don't), one can tilt the legs to 45 degrees. The 45 degree angle is also great for downward shooting.

The only thing I've ever heard negative about TBA is how long it takes to get the product.
Either you're willing to wait, or you're not.
But I never heard anyone say anything negative about the rifles, which are exquisite lasers.
If I wanted one, I'd probably look for a used one.

Very nice rig! Say, where would one get those honey-comb scope inserts? Do they fit Leupold's?

You can get ones specifically for Leupold ones off opticsplanet... they thread into the mark4 objective.

Hey everybody, new to the hide. Sorry to poke at an old thread, but I am seriously considering a TBA M40A3 and was hoping to get some input. I have heard bad things about TBA, but mostly about the wait times. On the other hand, I have heard his rifles shoot pretty hot. If anybody could give me any info on your recent experiences with Mike Lau it would be much appreciated. Again sorry about posting on an old thread.
