TC compass muzzle brake

So I have a tc compass in 7mm rem mag, I already know the thread pitch I need and everything... my question is what did fellow compass owners use to install new muzzle device? Crush washer? Or jam nut. Thanks in advance

I installed a VG6 on my Compass 243 with a jam nut. I did not have a good way to secure the action to really crank down a crush washer. So far the jam nut is working great.

Jam nut on my 300 win mag. Crush washer was way out of timing
