Team challenge carbine question

I know there are different types of team matches out there but I’m curious what cartridge for the guy carrying the carbine is mostly required by the rules of these comps? Are the majority of them going to require a .223 Remington or are the rules more forgiving and allow say a 224 Valkyrie or 6.8 spc. I’ve searched a few team matches and usually find the 223 is the only cartridge allowed but I know one guy setting up a Valkyrie for a team match but can’t remember which one Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

It all depends on the match. Some matches have rules governing bolt vs gas gun and chambering. If a 223 or 308 only match, we'll run a 223 bolt gun. 75gr ELDs at 2950fps are pretty legit. If the rules require a gas gun with no caliber restriction, a hot rod AR like a 224 Valkyrie or 22 Grendel will go along. Finally if a gas gun 223 is required we'll do that.
