WHERE: Approx. 1 hr from Raliegh, in Goldsboro, North Carolina
WHEN: Two day class- Sept 25/26, 2010
START TIME: 0700hrs. (That’s 7a.m.) In the conference room of the Holiday Inn Express, 1156 Hill Farm Rd, Kinston, NC. We will convoy to the range approx. 20min. away.
COSTS: $300 per student, a deposit of $50 is required to register, contact Sean Little at the above email to register and receive address to send deposit. Deposits for the course must be received no later than Sept 10, 2009. The balance must be paid on or before the start of class Sept 25th.
REGISTRATION & DEPOSIT: Registration will be thru the Vapor Trail Tactical web site, www.vaportrailtactical.net Fill out a registration form in the Contact Us section of the web site, include which class and dates, and email it.
CLASS SIZE: A minimum of eight students are required and a maximum of 12 are allowed, this means a minimum of 4 two man team or max of 6 two man teams.
CANCELLATION: This class may be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, or due to unforeseen circumstances, class will be rescheduled or students who cannot reschedule can get a refund or credit for the next class they can attend.
INTRODUCTION- This course is designed to train the Shooter and Observer as a team to maximize duties, skills, and precision fire in a timely manner to effectively engage difficult targets and scenarios. Each pair will be trained to be shooter and observer and will rotate duties so that each will be effective in either role, students will engage targets out to 800yds and beyond.

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS
This is the required gear that you must bring to participate in this class, no hunting rifles will be allowed. Read the list!! If you don’t have the proper rifle/ ammo, you will not be allowed to take the class, and your course fee (minus deposit of $50) will be refunded. Please do not register for this class if you do not have a proper rifle, ammunition or cannot borrow one, you will not be allowed to participate and class seats will be lost. Any questions please contact the instructor.
THIS IS A TEAM COURSE WHICH MEANS YOU NEED A PARTNER!!! If you do not have a partner and want to register for the class we will attempt to find you another individual to pair up with. We will not hold a slot for an individual without a partner.
Experience Required: All students must have a working knowledge of their rifle and how to operate their optic this includes:
How to load and unload safely
Demonstrate zeroing your rifle
Clear malfunctions safely
Basic knowledge of positional shooting, how to use a sling, and range estimation using your scope ranging reticule.
How to set scope elevation and windage, to engage a ranged target.
Physical Ability: This course will require students to move quickly into position which will require jogging or sprinting short distances (less than 100yds) wearing or carrying all of your equipment needed to engage targets. Teams will be in competition with each other for at various times in which the fastest times and best accuracy will be counted.
Rifle and Equipment
Bolt Action or Semi Automatic Rifle with Scope. AR Rifles in .223 or .50 cal rifles are not allowed. Rifle must be capable of shooting 1.0” groups or better at 100 yards.
Scope must be capable of “dialing” elevation and windage settings, also known as target knobs.
160rds minimum- Factory “match” ammunition recommended for shooting to 600 yards. If you are shooting .308, 175gr bullets are recommended for this course.
Re-Loaded ammunition allowed, if loaded with match components
Don’t forget your magazines- for semi auto or magazine fed bolt guns.
Rifle rest, bipod, tripod, shooting bags. We recommend Harris bipods or the Precision Rifle Solutions Sniper Shooting Platforms go to www.precisionriflesolutions.com
Students will need a way to carry your equipment, by either a belt, vest, pack or combination of all, the lighter the better, you will not be required to carry anything long distances. The main items will be rifle support, ammo, spotting scope/ binos, and data book.
Spotting Scope or Binoculars- If you have one please bring it, if you have both please bring them both.
Data Book- We recommend Impact Data books www.impactdatabooks.com
Sling- We recommend Tactical Interventions Quick Cuff slings or the TAB tactical slings. www.tabgear.com
Lunch- Bring your lunch if you can, it will save time. You will get a 1hr. lunch break each day.
Hearing protection- foam earplugs will be available.
Rifle Cleaning equipment- Rods, bore guides, solvents, patches, brushes, bore snakes, scope tools, wrenches, ect. We recommend the Otis Field cleaning system for cleaning your weapons on the road and in the field.
Bring clothes that match the weather, we will shoot in the cold or rain, rescheduling the course will take place if we have severe weather, i.e. extreme cold or rain, lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, or a combination of all.
Note pad, pen or pencil for taking notes
If there is any other gear that you want to bring such as shooting mats, tools or other equipment feel free.
