Rifle Scopes Temporary Scope or Wait???? Opinions Appreciated

Well, here is my situation: I have three rifles and plan on getting another custom soon. Following is the Specs:
Rifle 1) R&D Guardian 308 with USO SN-3 3.2-17X Ergo RDMOA
Rifle 2) R&D 6mm-223 Match with Zeiss Daivari 6-24x56mm Mildot
Rifle 3) Shilon custom 308 hunting rifle... no optics
Situation:
I have two USO SN-3s on order: a 3.2-17x TPAL and a 3.8-22X Ergo
My next custom would be a 6mmBR or 260 Remington, my plan was to dedicate the new SN-3 T-Pal for this gun, put the SN-3 3.8-22X on the 6mm-223 and then move the Ziess to the Shilon 308.
Problem is the two USOs are not going to get here until November so my Shilon is Opticless. Should just wait a few more months, or spend stupidly on a lower end scope just to pass the time... my range of temporary scopes could be anything from a Bushnell to a Vortex to a leupold to a nightforce... problem is, when the new scope arrives, I will have a spare scope with no assigned rifles (possibly tempting me to get another rifle which is not a good thing)... your thoughts...

1. Borrow an unused scope from a friend?
2. Move the Zeiss to the hunting and leave the 6mm opticless until USO's arrive.
3. Just wait till November.

No point wasting ammo zeroing a scope that won't stay would be my philosophy. You seem to have a taste for the high end stuff. Don't you have an old beater laying around somewhere or did you start the hobby off with USO's and Zeiss's? I know I have a bunch of lower end scopes lying around after I went upmarket.

Depends on your financial situation and how much you realistically plan to shoot in the next few months.

Remember, good scopes hold their value well. You can always sell it and recoup a good portion of your costs. At least, that's what I keep telling myself. I still can't bring myself to sell any of mine.

I went from having lots mediocre that gets accumulated an not use, so I sold alot of the stuff not being used. Been doing this for the last ten years. Went from 80-90 guns to less than 15...kinda went from quantity to quality you can say. You are right, on the high end stuff, these thing retain their value. I've been most fortunate.

i'd just shoot the other two rifles until the scope rocked up from USO... no point wasting money

Pick up a Super Sniper, you can off load it when your done and loose less than $50...

I'd put a Zeiss Conquest on the hunting rifle. Great glass for cheap money. There is nothing wrong with having a backup scope laying around either, just in case one goes down, or a rifle comes along you want to try out.

Get the nightforce.... use it gently and enjoy the rifle until the USO shows up... PM me and sell it to me cheep!

Seriously, I agree with dmachine, it is not a bad idea to have a decent interim scope. It will keep your favorite rifle in commission if you ever have to get warranty work done at an inconvenient time on a high end scope.

My thoughts...
You have great glass coming, why worry about it for 3 months. If you plan to hunt this fall with the 308, then move the Ziess over. If you are looking for justification to buy anther scope, I would say you don't need justification, just go do it and enjoy the 308 now

Super Sniper or perhaps a Falcon Menace if you want a FFP variable in the meantime.

Shoot the other rifles and don't worry about the one without glass.

OR swap the optic from the least used.

I wouldn't buy another scope unless you see some use for it down the line.

Well, it was a hard choice and one of my Bud's needed funds so I opted for.......................................... this!!!

JNG MOA Recticle
It looks so nice on my custom Shilon 308, I think I'll let it stay permanate and sale my Ziess when my other USO comes in November

I was going to suggest the Super Sniper route, but thats mute considering you got lucky picked up the ST_10. I need to find a buddy like that....
