This build was a bit of an experiment for me, as I wanted to track the life of the 6GT barrel. I've heard claims that the throat of some barrels can erode away by as much as 10 thousandths after just a hundred or so rounds down range, and I refused to believe that without seeing for myself. I bought a bore scope, and stuck to a strict cleaning schedule. Rifling lands have moved 22 thousandths over 1000 very mild rounds. Still hammering away at sub 1/2 moa when I don't suck.
Pictures pulled from the bore scope are clockwise: Beginning of lands > Muzzle > Halfway down the bore.
Barrel is 1:7.5 twist, 26" Proof Competition Contour cerakoted Graphite Black
Barrel will come with Area419 Tenon thread protector
I still have around 400 rounds that I'd be happy to work out a deal on if interested. Alpha OCD brass, 33.1gr Varget, 107gr smk. Rounds are moving at 2850fps
