Out in the brush eastern wa.
I’m in the market for a new range finder. Im not much of a long range shooter these days, just a hunter and not very Tec savvy either.

I’ve been researching the Terrapin X and haven’t seen to many updates since about 2021. My plan is to use it with there app or a dope card for hunting. I don’t really want to spend the money on a Vector X, and my wife would most likely kill me.

At the moment I’m using a Leica 3200.com that is for the most part useless on non reflective targets at all ranges on most days. So frustrating! It started out great several years ago and now just basically a experience set of binoculars.

So guess for those that have a Terrapin X, are they good to go? Is it worth buying for the use I intend? Do they range well on non reflective targets?

Thanks
Bob

I have a Terrapin X and the old Terrapin. I have had zero issue with the X either in function or BT to my Kestrel. The Terrapin is a better range finder but the X is a better whole package and a very good range finder in my use. Never used their app so can'y comment on that. Mine has proven very good on animals in all weather at any distance anybody would hunt.

Thank you for your input. I was wondering about the difference between the old Terrapin and the X. I owned the old one and have regretted selling it since the day it was gone.
