Not that it matters, or really means anything...

But this was shaping up to be a personal best 5 shot group... #5 coming in with the F-U.

    Factory Savage 10 in a B&C stock
    147 ELDM's over 47.3gr RL26 moving at ~2830fps
1x fired Starline SRP with 0.0025" neck tension

Definitely a fluke but always welcomed with or without the flyer

As previously mentioned, use a coin to highlight shot group size (minus the flier, which you cover with the coin)...

...This works especially well on grid targets where the observer can already tell how far apart each inch is...but coins work better...

...Then post the group on here believing that you have everyone fooled that your single cherry picked group with covered flier is an accurate representation of how well you and your rifle routinely shoot. 😁

In all honesty, don't feel bad about a momentary lack of concentration. It's just a reminder that your mental game still has room for improvement. I blew two 4+1 groups myself the other day while I was getting back into shooting for groups after a long break. I took a 1/4 MOA and a 3/8 MOA group and managed to make them solid 1 MOA groups with said fliers.

I'll post pictures just as soon as I find a coin...

Part of the reason I posted this was after I read the Harris Bipod thread, I was just trying to post something a little more light-hearted and semi satirical

Yeah, same here. This is a new barrel for my sons rifle. Nothing like trying to be consistent for 60 rounds through switchy winds. But it’s at least good to know the load is tuned.

Actually I just thought of the group that out does us all lol....

(Talk about a Impressive but weirdly disappointing flier lol)

This is why you see so many people posting three shot groups. Personally, I think 10 shot groups, throwing out the worst shot, shows the rifle's accuracy rather than the shooter's skill.

I figured out my way around this problem some time ago - I usually keep shooting the group until I produce the poor shot. That way I already know I'm going to ruin the group and the challenge is to make it happen further along the string than last time ;)
