I really don't see the Army closing Benning any time soon. Nor do I see the protesters obstructing training there.

actually guys, I was referring to the mindset of the 'idiots' (those who don't deserve to be classed as "people") who actually think closing this base, or any other, is a good idea.

Interesting. Ive driven alone through most of Central America. Ive seen and experienced the horrors that those trained in that school have inflicted upon their populace.
Its not our military thats at fault. They just train, they just do as instructed. Its our government who tells them WHO to train, thats culpable.
I went to one small Cak-che-quel Mayan village where they didnt even speak Spanish, pure Mayan. There were no men. All the women of the village came out to meet me before I left and invited me back. I thought the men were just up in the mountains working the corn. Later, someone who knew, told me that the death squads had been through there and killed all the men. Why? Not because they were communist....their Mayans for christ sake, they dont give a fuck about the white mans political bullshit. They were killed so the government could sieze the land and drive the indigenous people further up into the mountains. Who did this? Those trained at Benning.
Again, Im not insulting our soldiers....just the polititians who misuse them.
