How's it shoot?

I saw it sold here a couple years ago.

I'm trying to scrape together the funds to buy the M40A1 for sale in the sale section, it got me thinking back to that rifle..

Just wanted to know how it's doing

Re: The Eddie Ryan M40A1 rifle - who has it?

Me and my buddy had the Eddie Ryan rifle built by Eric Reid and a few other folks at PWS. It was sold to a guy in South Carolina, and then sold again to someone else. To this day I don't know who actually has it.

As to how it shoots, I stood there next to the test fixture at PWS and watched the very first rounds go down the barrel on the 300m test range. It shot ridiculously small groups with M118LR.

I really hated letting it go, and if I had the 10k at the time I would have bought it. The thing is an absolute hammer and the workmanship and attention to detail is incredible.

Thanks - I wanted that rifle pretty bad. I bid 8k on it but I think it went for 10k or 11k...

There is an M40A1 replica, exact replica for sale - I've got some stocks in 3 day holding pattern after selling and then getting a check cut, selling my motorcycle - I want that rifle BAaaaaad.......:)

So probably nobody here has it huh? I recall watching that rifle for a year or two and when it did come back for sale I could not afford it...
