As a former instructor, I had a slam fire in an AK once. Obviously not my fault, but it was embarrassing enough having a firearm go off while not intending on it doing so. Most of my students didn't know that it was unintentional until I told them that it wasn't supposed to happen. I spun it into a quick rehash lesson on weapon safety rules.
This guy however is just being stupid. If he want to instruct in the future, then he needs to slow down big time.
I would have walked right out of his class and asked for a refund.

It's a damn shame it wasn't a .500 Mag, then at least the gun would be able to kick his ass for being so stupid...
