both were incredibly beautiful in their prime....and both slide downhill HARD.

Collector in my area bought this one and was getting the paperwork in order. Had all the documents from it being a true car from the show. (Notice the license plate if you can zoom in) Sounded just as good as on TV.
I'm not real big on those types of cars. I'm a lowrider fanboy, but it's a shame so many Dodge Chargers got destroyed doing those jumps.

Yeah, they destroyed so many early on that subsequent shows just used the same old shots over and over.
Also, Boss Hogg's wife was hot! Way hotter than Daisy!

I bought my first car in 1986. I had been looking for a 69 Charger for months. One morning I was looking through the Southside Shopper (a local classified paper) and an ad caught me eye.
1969 Dodge $1000

I showed it to my dad, who had went that morning and got the paper for me before school, and he said “go ahead and call”.
A sweet older lady answered, and I almost dropped the phone when she answered my question as to which Dodge it was she was selling.
”It’s a Charger”
My dad let me skip school. We headed to Raleigh where the car was and I bought it with my own money I had saved from working all summer with my uncle framing houses.
The lady was the original owner, bought it new at Palm Beach Dodge in ‘69. It was an SE, A/C and leather car. 383 Magnum automatic.
I loved that car.

One of my favorite shows from my youth. My lovely wife bought me the entire series on DVD as a gift recently. Man what memories from a simpler time.
I doubt with today’s perpetually offended libtards they would air the show. Unless they replaced the confederate flag with the UN or rainbow flag.
