Well, I have had the idea quite frequently lately and wanted some opinions before a decision is made.
I'm currently running a 18" 308 Criterion barrel through my AR10 with KAK and JP behind it. It shoots perfect and I'm slowly working my way down range with it. Is it really worth a caliber switch to 6.5CM or should I continue shooting as is and just build another rifle whether it be bolt/AR10 platform in 6.5?

Thanks guys

If you have a good set up, I would leave it well alone and either build a 6.5 upper for this rifle, or build a complete 6.5 gun. Unless you are going to be shooting at great distances all of the time that you "need" the 6.5. That way you could have a medium distance set up and a longer range one when needed.

I would say I'm more pushed into 6.5 by others around me. But yes I agree, dont fix it if it aint broke.

6.5 sets ups in my experience usually require +2 gas systems and sfp bolts to get running right ....ymmv but I would agree just easier to build a second upper
