I'm not disagreeing over all, but the inflation rate (as they calculate it) was 1.4% when obiden got in, so NO, it did not have to be that way. Zero percent interest rates are without a doubt a big piece of it and stupid for multiple reasons, but what happened after obiden got in was due to incredible spending and energy policy.

Back then I said the same thing. Capitalism works until government interfered. IF they were going to step in they should have told the banks that they made the deals knowing they were bad. Now you are going to honor the original loan percentage and for certain loans that qualify you are going to suspend any principal on the loan and only get the interest for a year. Then they could have delt with opec and the oil prices.
I know some people that bought up a bunch of those foreclosures in 08 and after. They have used them as rentals since then. For the last couple years they have been dumping them at these inflated prices. They know what is coming. This time around we'll be closer to 38 trillion in national debt.
