The radio topic of today is the banner that was unfurled at Fenway Park during the Red Sox game.
Racism is as American as baseball.

The next "Newspeak" is the redefinition of racism.
What I thought racism was is when one "group" of people harms or discriminates against another "group" because of an arbitrary characteristic such as skin color, language, religion or even sexual orientation. ie things that should have no bearing on the character of the person.
One person supporting the people that placed the banner claimed racism is when either economically or legally one group has power over another. In quotations of a banner supporters statement "blacks can never be racist and no other racism exists except white against black".
When the radio personality equated Japans treatment of the Chinese in WWII and the Holocaust that was rejected as being racism.
The only positive I see in this is that it is so absurd it is sure to be rejected.
The dangerous downside is that this redefinition of racism will be pushed by academia, its necessary to have a "cause" in order to keep the movement viable. The reality of the present does not support the need for "the cause" therefore the reality must be redefined to recreate "the cause"
People will be getting hurt, and that will not matter to supporters of "the cause".
The optimistic view is that it is so absurd it is bound to fail and this will set back those that seek power through division way back.
The people fomenting this don't care about racism, in fact I posit they are racist, this is about making "1984" reality.
