The Night Stalker is Complete

Well, got the Spigot Mount from KRG today. It was the final piece to getting my new Night Stalker modified. With the current setup I can use the Atlas or Harris style bipod along with repositioning the flashlight underneath the barrel which is the entire purpose of doing this.. Using the Atlas is priority but I wanted to see if the Harris style would work. Only catch to using the Harris is i have to use my smaller light to have room to unlock the cant lever. Also because I have the Harris mounted to the stud that is holding the rail on, it creates a gap and is not as stable as I could be if not using the rail. In case anyone is wondering, to install the spigot mount, the forward portion of the Bravo polymer stock has to be removed which consist of 6 screws and the front action screw. The spigot mount, when used on the Bravo, uses four screws to attach it. Enough talk and on with the photos.

Here is the old setup. Although very functional I just didn't like the looks of it.



I come up with the idea of mounting the flashlight underneath barrel but in doing this I had no place to mount the bipod. That's when the spigot mount come in to play. I like going out at night and shooting, it's good temperatures plus it's just flat out fun shooting in the dark. With a good light the targets show up just like it was daylight.



I had this longer rail on first and wanted to use it but it was not stable and the rifle rocked side to side with minimal effort.

I have plenty of room for my hands to grab and carry the rifle and it doesn't feel unbalanced like before. I have yet to try it out but I don't see any reason for it not to work as planned. Also, as can be seen the light hands low enough to not be restricted by the bipod.

How heavy is it as it sits now?

Unloaded, with everything you see in the photo it is 14.8 lbs according to my floor scales.

One thing to keep in mind is that scope weighs 2.97 lbs, might as well call it 3.

I have shot it a lot recently and have determined I would benefit from the adjustable recoil pad. It should be here Saturday and will allow me to set the pad lower to better, much better actually fit my shoulder. I did the same with my BRNO #4 Biathlon.

Adjustable recoil pad got here today. You know, we have all done it, we have bought something and afterwards we are like, "WTF did I buy this for?" Well, everything on this Night Slaker I am happy to have bought without regrets especially this adjustable buttpad.

This probably won't help but the spacers from my KRG stock will work as spacers on a factory stock for the Tikka T1x. If you access to a Tikka factory stock you could determine if the KRG spacers would work. KRG sells the spacers for $4 each + shipping.
