The conventional wisdom says that neck-sizing "works the brass less" than FL-sizing and therefore will increase brass life. I started out with a neck sizer based on this theory.
What few discuss however, is that the brass will need to be FL resized every so often with either a body die or a FL die once it grows too much to chamber. My experience was I was having to body size every 2-3 firings anyway to make sure it would reliably chamber on the range.
My question or comment is: While neck sizing only with occasional FL sizing works the brass less often - it seems to me that it negates the benefits because it works the brass more all at once. Conversely, if you Fl resize each time - you do work it more often but in smaller increments at a time. Which one is better then?
