I can see all sorts of applications for a wing like that:
1. Carry a longer ladder to steal additional copper gutters instead of just the downspouts to support meth hobby.
2. Economical mattress delivery vehicle.
3. Allow you to have greater visability out of the rear window; see more folks calling you a "loser".
4. Have firmer footing when trying to jump over a fence to steal car parts.

I love these people who can't figure out the problem with (theoretically) adding downforce to the very back of a front-wheel-drive car... What an asshat.
We had a local guy years ago that had a very nice 77 TransAM. Only flaw was the two foot high plywood wing with plywood shark fins spaced across the top! He had spent a bunch of time blending it together and into the body with Bondo and painting it to match.
ill tell you one thing though, at least it looks like its working. i mean, look at all that rear down force on that front wheel drive car. i bet he gets all sorts of traction at 90. lmao
I don't know if you guys can fully appreciate the performance gains that increased downforce at speed offers the 1991 Sentras with that beastly 1.6L powerhouse under the hood! That wing is sheer badazzery...
You Cant tell from this picture, but at one point he was directly behind me and you could see it leaning to the left. So not only is the guy obviously an areodynamic genius, he is a master crafsman. And i am not sure the squatting is down force or lbs of bondo and fiberglass. Either way top quailty stuff right there fellas.

I love those cars!!! I LMAO every time I see one. I was at a gas station a while back when one pulled up and I couldn't contain my laughter. The guy knew I was laughing at him and decided not to get gas there. I still get a chuckle when I think of it.

As a life long die hard mopar fan, that is retro enough to be awesome! I would rock either of those...

Last one of those I saw was on a back row of a car lot for $700. in the early 80's.

It just goes to prove that just you can do something doesn't mean it is a good idea. Sort of like the two 1911 pistols mounted side by side. The engineering and machine work required to do that is truly praiseworthy, but it really doesn't solve any problems.
I suppose that the vehicles and firearms done up like that could be looked at as artwork in metal. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Geez we had a guy in the area I used to live in that did the exact same thing. Not a Transam, but a shitty wood wing bondo-ed to look "good" along with a grapefruit fart can.

That's a winged p*ssy getter! Strangely enough not that rare...
