Myself and a few other people who know these things have been telling you this forever. Russians overwhelmingly support him. Putin is the guy who brought their country back from the brink. In the 90's, even professionals were literally working for no pay. Doctors and nurses would get a bag of rice for a month, so they were working not to starve. The Northern Fleet stayed at their posts because they were getting fed, but not paid. And many of them did it for patriotism. There may be shortages of money, but there is no shortage of patriotism in modern Russia.

Holy shit if that’s true and NATO is really going to stage a Corps sized element inside western Ukraine that is significant. IMO they are basically using the same tactic as WW2, using aggressive political pressure to start a war. Let everyone fight and wear each other down, then swoop(though already over threw Kiev) in at the end and grab what they can. Thing is, this kinda worked and kinda failed during WW2. Russia was not supposed( they, the west, didn't want) to advance like they did and ended up getting into Berlin before the US, Brits and other allies could sweep across Europe. There will be three large field camps of PMC "Wagner" in the Republic of Belarus. One is near the city of Osipovichi, two more places have not been determined, but these will definitely be the western regions of the country, given the aggressive rhetoric of Poland. The main task of PMC "Wagner" is enhanced combat training of the Belarusian security forces.
I am sure that when all the field camps are fully equipped and a full-fledged training process begins, it is better for the Poles not to look towards the Republic of Belarus at all.

Russia has more than enough nukes to handle anything NATO related... That is the most likely outcome of the direct NATO interference.

I saw European "Bde/Corps" deployment in Iraq - they rotated out every 30 days and were not allowed to get into actual combat. They had a coalition of "28 countries" with most countries sending just a couple of liaison officers - Brits did the heavy lifting. Will be interesting to see how such a NATO unit would look.

Possibilities are endless when it comes to nuclear war and war in general. I could see situations where a nuclear war is "winnable". But none of those situations are good. And Russia has enough very advanced nukes that it would be UGLY for absolutely everyone involved(as if it aint already ugly enough).

You have to ask why are there no climate protesters on the streets jumping up and down and gluing themselves to government buildings due to the chances of a nuclear war?

I live, next to one of the largest military bases in the world, literally can jump my fence and be on Eglin's reservation. . I would not be suprised if this base was targeted.
