nope, that,s a bow for close combat. less range, but higher rate of fire. think riot gun

I'm definitely seeing a wizard staff in his right hand. I don't see a bowstring, bow, or an arrow nocked.

OK I see a bow now, but he's still totally getting ready to throw a fireball or turn someone into a newt.

Must be Ye Old Tavern Owner Rendezvous (its a very short walk from the center of towne) as just about everyone else during that period would be 75 pounds lighter. Double deer skins all around...
