Looking for opinions on thermal scopes....not clip-ons....in the 5 thousand dollar range. This is my first thermal scope. I've been watching you tube videos until I'm cross-eyed....Pulsar Thermion..Iray Rico...AGM...Bering...not sure what to do here.....do I save up for a Thermion Duo....does the AMOLED vs OLED display make that much of a difference?....I'll be using it in northern Oklahoma in open terrain. I'm not a serious hunter I mainly want it for pest control in the pasture...prefer to have LRF but not a deal breaker to not have it...I do not own a scanner and since I'm not using the scope for hunting do I need one?. Not sure what to do here. This is a pile of money to me. Thank you for any help or advice

Shannon, this is what I do as a product specialist for night goggles. Reserve about 45 minutes and give me a call, and we can dig deep into your needs and figure out what option or options will work best for you.

I’d suggest a monocular and less expensive scope. From a practical standpoint, scanning through a rifle scope all night uncomfortable and makes more noise, not to mention requires you to point your rifle at things you aren’t intending to shoot. Monocular in the 1500-2000 range and scope around 3000 would get you a very nice setup.

I would highly agree, as that is what I did and love the combo. I like to try new things and this is about as good a combo as I have had to date:
