Adding the IR to the OMGIS 3600 makes it very unfair to the yots .

Re: Thermal with IR

eh??? They are completely different bands aren't they? Surely you're not trying to see them with near-IR illuminator and LWIR scope are you?

Or is the intent to spot them more-or-less for someone with a normal NV riflescope? Because that aimer is way too small for a TCAD.

Re: Thermal with IR

The Thermal is used to locate the targets, while the IR "paints" the target for the shooters using NV.

Re: Thermal with IR

How do you go about aiming the thermal then? Just more-or-less middle of screen?

I assume there's no direct correlation between any point on the thermal screen and where the laser is pointed, both just in the general direction?

David.

Re: Thermal with IR

It's very easy with the Luna laser as it's adjustable for POA and beam size. You place the thermal on a stable surface and aim at a fixed target, then verify adjustments with your NV.
