I was planning to cut my barrel back from 28" to 22" for a can. The rifle has been shooting very well from day one. Just as a precaution, do to some things I had heard about barrels from this particular company, I decided to slug the barrel prior to cutting. I didn't want to run into an issue of cutting it at a point that may be detrimental to accuracy. Well I slugged it and you can feel the barrel actually open up just slightly from a point about 2" forward of the chamber to a point about 4" from the muzzle. At 4 inches from the muzzle it feels to go back to the same size as just ahead of the chamber , and the last inch steps in tighter again. One setp up in diameter and 2 setps down. Shoots great currently, but really pisses me off that I have 3 or 4 more barrels from this company sitting in reserve currently. All that I have used from them have shot very well, but we have to keep them as long as possible for it to happen.
Just have to decide if I'm goign to keep running this barrel till the groups start opening up, replace the barrel, or sell it to someone that wants the current configuration.
