Re: this is fked up...
Ran into something similar recently, I do not have any neighbors for several miles in any direction where I live down on a river. I was taking a walk down the river this spring and I see one of our cats that I had not seen for some time looking like he was climbing up a tree. I walked over and someone had nailed him to a tree by his paws, while alive obviously. Now take into mind I live in the midle of nowhere in Montana and this is 300 yards from my house where I have 3 little kids and I am away from home quite a little. Talk about livid, I was ready to kill someone. I hunt more than the average Joe and am an avid hound hunter, being lions and bobcats our main prey so am in no way against killing critters. I have killed a lot of critters and I always try to end it with as little suffering as possible. Called the sherif and let him know what I found and my concerns about it being so close to the house and the fact we are missing half about 3 other cats, he did not seem to concerned so I took things into my own hands. Took about a month to track it down but come to find out there was a fellow that recently moved into the town that is close to us from California that seemed to think that moving Montana meant it was the wild wild west and one could go and do whatever he like wherever he liked. He had bought a couple of hounds and though that nailing some kids cats to a tree was in some way training for them. Needless to say he was the next one to make a trip to see the sherif and somehow he was injured, for what ever reason the sherif did not have much sympathy for him and sent him on his way, as it should have been. It was made very clear if such an incident happens again or if he is seen anywhere even close to my place, things are going to get real ugly and fast.
