MALDA, WEST BENGAL: A man with a history of stalking and making predatory threats breaks into a woman's home when her daughters are away. After raping her, he doused her with kerosene and set her ablaze to finish her off. She grabbed onto him and dragged him back to her as both were engulfed in flames. Neighbors saw the conflagration and notified authorities. In an act of sheer miracle, the woman survived with burns on her face and arms. The rapist and would-be murderer was burned to death in the inferno.

This is why you NEVER give up. Even if you see that all is lost, you keep on fighting until either you or your adversary gives way, and if it is the former, you still would have completed your job. As long as you are still alive, there is no such thing as quitting. Period. Kudos to this brave lady for ensuring that piece of shit will not hurt or kill anyone else again.

I don’t monitor news on the subcontinent any more , but I wish this gets good national coverage there .
Maybe it will inspire other women to fight back ; there’s some pretty fucked up perspectives on rape in
that neck of the woods . The concept of feminism has gotten very twisted out of shape, thanks to
