Re: This
I completed a thesis in college concerning the correlation between countries that have very conservative gun laws (i.e. Swtizerland, the United States, etc.) and those who imposed very strict gun laws/bans (i.e. Australia, Brittain, etc.). I used DOJ and several other government sites for my research so as not to skew my results (or have my professor throw my paper out). I was able to determine (though, not in all cases) that there was an inverse relationship between the level og guns ownership in a country and the level of violent crimes perpetrated in said country (so, if the country allowed many-to-most people to own guns, the violent crime rate was farily low, and vice versa). And that research was done close to seven years ago. I could on;y imagine what the statistics state now.
