Thoughts on 22lr Cmmg 20” barrel and bolt

Picked up a cmmg dedicated 22 upper in a trade deal. It’s a 20” barrel

Anyone have any experience with them?

Ammo recommendations?

Accuracy ??

I have the cmmg conversion kit (bcg and mags) in a “leftover parts” AR and it’s great for practice and friends/new shooters as the manual of arms is the same, but the accuracy is only so-so. It’s an under 2” at 50yds gun, fine for plinking and practice but really only that. 1:7 twist PSA barrel, ha.

Is yours a conversion or a dedicated 22lr barrel?

Get a couple Black Dog magazines and shoot the hell out of it. You'll enjoy for sure. Since it's a dedicated barrel, you should surely see better accuracy than the conversion kit.

My 16" CMMG dedicated upper will shoot .75" at 50y. Not bad at all.

Yeah that’s awesome, mine definitely won’t do anything like that. Dedicated 22lr is the way to go.
