After reading many articles and taking a few steps back. I am starting with case prep. Annealed 100 LC mix head stamp cases with old mans torch set up while using templac for right temp. Unknown firings and annealings. Full length sized and ran through my case trimmer. Seated 10 bullets in empty cases with taper crimp
2.260 OAL. Ran through my magazine in my AR. Went back to measure them and several had pushed out further. So i looked up neck dies and came across forester fl bushing die kit. Is it worth it or just unnecessary money spent. I like the all in one stroke vs swaping out dies.

Bushing dies work on the presumption that you have uniform neck thicknesses.

Personal preference:

FLS + Dilating Mandrel or
SB-FLS + Dilating Mandrel or
NS + Dilating Mandrel

Yeah most likely there all over the place. I see sorting by thickness in my future and better quality brass.

One purpose for bushing setups I forgot to mention is dodging donuts, if your rounds can be loaded long.

I am a Forster fan, but I’ve decided to avoid the bushing route altogether…
