Currently own a KAC SR25 ECR that I have configured as a M110 clone with a Leupold MK4 3.5-10x. Really enjoy shooting it, but I’m considering getting a different platform rifle for even longer range shooting with a modern high power scope like a 5-25x. Been eyeing the Scar 20 since I enjoy shooting my Scar 17 as well. Had some money saved for a higher end bolt action rifle but considering raising that piggy bank for this.
Thoughts on the Scar 20?

Get it! I have one and it is hands down my favorite rifle I own and maybe ever owned. This is a big statement, since I had an FFL business years ago and owned about everything out there at one time or shot it. It is silly accurate like 1/2" and just shoots so smooth it is crazy. I brought my LMT and the 20 to the range on the same day and they are not the same. The scar is faster on target and the lmt is as heavy and actually the scar feels better in the hands even with the 20" barrel. I will put it this way- I got one and like it so much I am seriously debating buying another one and just outfitting them differently. Plus if you have the 17 you know the durability they have. I read reports of 15k rds plus on a barrel easy and no parts breakage until over 100k rds. I actually had a nice custom AR-10 just arrive last week I am selling now to fund the other one! FOr me two of those and the LMT are all the large frame semis you would ever use or wear out in a lifetime. Now I have a lot of small frames for other purposes but the 20 is more of 500 yd + rifle to me or I will use the ARs. I am also not a FN fanboy- this is my first one but I am sold.
