Thread Protectors? Suggestions Please

Hi all and thanks to all you guys that have posted info on this site.
I've been lurking here for a little while and the folks here seem to be very knowledgeable.
I plan on changing the gas block on my little hunting rifle and want to leave the flash hider off for a while.
I want the thread protector to look ok and do it's job.
It is an Armalite AR-10T Carbine with a stainless barrel.
What do you guys run when the suppressor is not on your rifle?
Y'all be easy on me I'm a noob!

I emailed pics and measurements to RWSnyder here on the hide. He cut me a thread protector for two different rifles that way. And it would be hard for me to believe the protectors would have come out any nicer if I'd have sent the rifles. Top notch work and a good guy.

i would have a gunsmith machine one for you..i had one made and you cant even tell the barrel is threaded when its on.. i can post a pic later if you want to see it

A picture would be great.
I live out in the sticks and I don't really have anyone that I could take it to.

I should have stated in my first post that I was looking for off the shelf protectors.

I use this one its cheap and works great! This one is for a heavy barrel they make a standard barrel too. Might not fit the contour of your barrel exactly but who really cared. Mine actually fits perfect. Thread Protector

Thanks I will look into that one as well.
I found this one, but it has no size info other than 5/8 24 in the listing.

You can pretty much tell its gonna be for a thinner barrel. It doesn't seem to have much wall between the threads and outside, but then again not sure how heavy your barrel is.

I keep a couple of cheap flash hiders laying around for this purpose. They work great, and look like they're supposed to be there.
