The guy I bought my R700 SPS Tac .308 from said that the barrel was threaded by Tornado Tech. I'm assuming the threads are 5/8"-24 correct? What is the diamater of the heavy barrel? The thread count is the length of the area threaded by the number of threads in that area? Am I wrong or am I just a ra-tard? I was looking into putting a muzzle brake on it until I decide to do the paperwork for a can. Any suggestions for a muzzle brake? Any suggestions for a can? I was looking at the Surefire muzzle brakes so I wouldn't have to remove the brake to add the can. My AR has a SF flash hider that will accept thier 556 can. Are there similar configurations for .308 rifles? What are some other manufactures of cans and brakes? Once again thanks for the info guys!

Probably 5/8x24 being that is pretty standard for .308 cans and what not, but you just never know. Safest bet is to get your self a set of thread gauges. They are very inexpensive and trust me, they will come in hand more than once in your life. Good luck.
