Gunsmithing Threading a REM 700 SPS-V

I still new to this form and I just picked up a Rem 700 SPS (.223)Varmint with a 1/12 twist in a 26 inch barrel. My Question is; I would like to send it off to have it threaded for a can and I would like to have it cut down ass well to 18 or 20 inches. And I have seen AR15 barrels set up with 1/12 twist in 16, 18 and 20 inches.So do you think I would have any problems with a 18 inch barrel.

Dont know how you feel about shipping your rifle. But you wont go wrong with them.
