Thumb rest grip good for AR platforms?

Does resting your thumb on the side of an AR gain any accuracy advantage? It’s done with bolt guns, of course, but there’s more mechanical movement inside an AR platform.
Would having a traditional grip keep the rifle better inline?
For long-range work, not door kicking or 3-gun shooting.

Yes, but I prefer a thumb shelf on the same side as I’m shooting as I don’t wrap my thumb around the grip. For doing this a 45 degree ambi safety like the Radian makes a great thumb shelf.

I really like the MPA for a precision AR, but I've not seen any tangible accuracy difference with my thumb on the shelf.

I've played around with one, but prefer a good grip. Getting high enough on the grip has helped me pull more towards the rear of the gun.

Does it still give you a good 90-degree trigger finger. I’ll be testing both grips this week, hopefully with all the holiday obligations.
